In the mid-1990s, the founders of Cross Consult, Simone Schönfeld and Dr. Nadja Tschirner asked why, whilst there have actually been mentoring programs for the promotion of female executives in the USA and the Scandinavian countries for many years, there haven't in Germany.
A wide-ranging evaluation of various mentoring programs in Great Britain, Finland and Sweden laid the foundation for a well-founded expertise, which has been supplemented by a wide range of practical experience over the past 25 years.
Started with internal programs in organizations, the first regional cross-mentoring program was quickly added, as it became clear that internal and Cross-Mentoring program are a useful addition. While internal programs can facilitate the internal visibility, orientation and networking of the mentees in their own company, cross-mentoring programs offer the unbeatable advantage of an intensive and really non-hierarchical exchange.
After the start of the first regional Cross-Mentoring program in Munich 2001, he cities of Frankfurt, Augsburg and Münster were added in the years that followed. The offer was expanded by addressing additional target groups, so that today both young and experienced executives can take advantage of the full range of Cross Consult offers. Cross Consult follows the self-developed approach of Cross Evolution - the gentle change through cross-company dialogue.
